Why sawmilling?

Sometimes it's necessary to have a tree removed, perhaps to make way for new structures or because the tree has come to the end of its life.

If you've had a tree in your garden for many years, it may carry sentimental value and cutting it up into firewood or woodchips can seem wasteful. Sawmilling can provide another option as a means of processing the raw timber. The value of the timber is much greater if the wood is milled into boards as the timber can then be used in practices with more longevity; such as furniture making and construction.

MOBILE SAWMILLING WITH BEARWOOD

The sawmills we use at BearWood are portable, compact and versatile, allowing us to access your timber no matter where it is. We use a selection of Alaskan Chainsaw Mills and trailer-mounted Bandsaw Mills to ensure that we can fulfil your milling needs.

With minimal impact to the surroundings and no need for large machinery or vehicles, we can offer a simple and cost effective means to mill timber. Our sawmills have a maximum cut width of 72 inches (~183cm) so there are few trees that we can't mill.

Please contact us to discuss your needs and arrange a no-obligation on-site assessment and quote.
